Welcome to Jam Camps Australia where you learn to play bluegrass music with others with confidence.
Using the Wernick Method we have been hosting Bluegrass music camps and Bluegrass jam classes in Australia for more than ten years now. We teach people of all levels of experience how to play bluegrass music together in a jam environment.

We can help you build confidence and teach you how to jam with others, bluegrass style.
Understanding, low-pressure, experienced teaching with a Wernick Method certified teacher.
Pete Wernick’s inventive and time-tested method focuses on the student’s desire to play music in a social setting. Our mission is to address the general lack of teaching bluegrass jamming skills. Our classes and camps have been launching jammers for years.
We will show you how to fit into a bluegrass jam session at your own ability level. You will be jamming at the first session.
Hands-on learning in large and small groups.
learn how to play bluegrass back up on your instrument.
Learn how to find melodies, fake solos, carry a tune, sing harmony.
Learn how to follow new songs without a printed page or music sheets
Learn how to lead songs and find the best key for singing/playing.
Learn many bluegrass standards.
Ear skills taught and emphasized, as in real bluegrass.
Learn how to jam in a small group.

What do you need to be a jam-camper?
- You must be able to tune your instrument (electronic tuning devices welcome) and
- Be able to change smoothly between G, C, D, and A
- Fiddles and basses need to know which notes work with which chords.
